Relax and unwind
Massage will definitely help you relax! But, if you are on a time limit you may not get the best out of your treatment. Please let me know at the beginning of the massage if you need to be somewhere at a certain time. Go ahead and make that quick call or text before your massage so you won’t be thinking about it and you can turn off your cell phone. Please bring comfy clothes so it’s easy to dress when your treatment is over. This will also be helpful if we decide stretching after the massage would be beneficial.
Ask me anything
This one is especially important if it’s your first massage, or if you have any health issues you’re worried about. Any questions are welcome.
During your massage, speak out if the pressure isn’t what you’d like or the room or table isn’t the right temperature. Also, please tell me if you dislike the music. This is your time. I want you to enjoy everything about the massage.
Make it a regular appointment.
he more regularly you have a massage, the more the effects accumulate and you will feel the benefits. Having a massage once a year at Christmas is nice but including massage as part of your wellness plan will keep your body (and mind) feeling much better. That being said, I will never bug you to make an appointment with me!
I ask you about long term or chronic conditions when you first come to me, but if you have an injury or develop an illness, I also need to know that. If you are pregnant, please tell me so I can be excited with you and so I can change some of the techniques I use and bolster you properly.
If you have a minor infection, like a cold or flu, call me and we can see if it’s wise for you to attend. Sometimes, a massage can make illnesses worse because while your body is already using your lymphatic system to fight the infection, a massage can stimulate it even more.
My goal is to make all of your massages the most effective treatment for your issue as well as enjoyable!
